Squid Game second season is now officially confirmedFollowing the success of Netflix’s Squid Game, series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has confirmed that there will be a season two. Season two will include necessary changes to remain prominent in the technology landscape. The viewer base has been growing steadily and viewership is currently at three million per day. Fans of Korean TV drama, “There Will Indeed Be a Season 2,” were overjoyed when at an event honouring the show in Los Angeles the creator and actor-director stated there will be another season. In a recent interview, Hwang commented on popular demand for “Insecure” Season 2. He revealed that they are in the planning process to make another season.
The popular Korean nature series will be returning to Netflix with season 2 in September 2019. The original show debuted on Netflix in September 2018 with its 10 episodes run quickly becoming one of the most viewed.
Co-creator and producer of one of the most influential K-drama’s in TV history, Hwang, confirmed there will be a second season in an interview with The Guardian in October. It may not end up being completed immediately but it doesn’t mean that Hwang has lost interest in continuing his series on Netflix. In the same interview, he revealed that his next project is a new film called KO Club about a group of elderly males who enjoy murdering people for sport.
